There will be no school Monday, March 25, 2013 due to drifting snow and poor road conditions.

Spend Halloween Cheering on the Mustangs!!

The Football Mustangs have advanced to the semifinal round of district play!  The game will be October 31st at 7:00 p.m. at Springfield Catholic High School.  The admission will be $5 for all spectators.
There will be a pep bus for the high school students.
Plan to dress warm and make the trip to cheer on the Mustangs!

1st Annual Community Fair This Saturday!

 L.E.A.P. is sponsoring a Community Fair tomorrow, September 8th from 9-1 PM at Eldon Middle School.  There are over 60 groups/vendors coming in to show what Eldon has to offer!   Free food and door prizes.    Please come out and support the Community Fair!

EHS Band and Choir Compete in the Tri-County Conference Music Festival

Saturday, March 10th band and choir members competed in the Tri-County Conference Music Festival and recieved the following ratings:

Chamber Choir “1-”

Women’s Choir “2″

Vocal solos and small ensembles

    3 – “1″ ratings

    5 – “2″ ratings

    2 – “3″ ratings

The Concert Band received a “II”

Woodwind Choir received a “I”

There were 45 band students in 35 events earning 19 “I’s”, 13 “II’s” and 3 “III’s”

 These students will compete again in Jefferson City on Saturday, March 31st at the district festival.

District Play at Eldon High School!

The regular season has ended and the Mustangs and Lady Mustangs finished with a flurry of wins.
The boys team began the week by defeating Osage to improve their record to 19-5 and 4-0 in the Tri County Conference. On Friday, the boys finished the regular season with a convincing win over Versailles. The boys won the Tri County Conference championship with an undefeated 5-0 record. They finished the regular season 20-5 and enter district play this Wednesday.
The girls finished the conference season on Thursday by beating Osage. The win guaranteed the girls a share of the Tri County Conference championship. The girls then won the final game of the regular season on Saturday against North Callaway. The girls finished the regular season 21-4 and will begin district play on Tuesday.
This year the boys and girls districts will be at the Eldon High School Gymnasium. The girls will play on Tuesday night at 7:30 in a rematch with Osage.  The boys will play on Wednesday night at 7:30 in another rematch, this time with Fulton. Both teams have a chance to play for a district title on Friday night if they win their first games. Please come out and support the kids, both boys and girls, in their efforts to bring home another title.

Eldon Career Center does well at Central District Contest

The Eldon Career Center performed well at Central District SkillsUSA Competition held at SFCC February 17, 2012.  The final tally is:
23 – Gold Medals
21 – Silver Medals
15 – Bronze Medals
37 – Advancing to State (Not counting those going straight to state)

Mustang Speech Team takes 1st place!

The Mustang Speech Team competed Friday with 13 other schools at Stover High School.  EHS brought home the 1st Place Team Trophy ahead of Helias High School and Warrensburg High School.
