Eldon FFA Participates in The Missouri Govenor’s Conference on Agriculture

Nolan Scott, Claire Salmons, Matt Stollings, Nick Parks, Lacy Fitzpatrick

The Missouri Govenor’s Conference on Agriculture has a long-standing tradition for leaders among Missouri’s producers, agribusinesses and youth. This conference was a wonderful opportunity for the Eldon chapter of the Future Farmers of America to share about what we are doing in our programs for students and community members here in Eldon.  The top 5 chapters in Missouri, as named at the 2013 State FFA Convention, were invited to share their opinion on what it means to AGvocate, or advocate for agriculture, through the engaging, educating, and empowering of the members of their chapter.

The Eldon FFA participated in a panel discussion about current issues in Missouri agriculture, as well as giving a short presentation about their chapter.  Members in attendance were Nolan Scott, Claire Salmons, Matt Stollings, Nick Parks and  Lacy Fitzpatrick.
