Eldon is Named The 2011 Outstanding Agriculture Education Program by the Missouri Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association
Matt Biddle, Gary Reichel and Adam Wolf, agriculture instructors and the Eldon school district were recognized with the Outstanding Agriculture Education Program Award for their accomplishments during the Missouri Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association (MVATA) Conference in Springfield, Missouri this summer. The Outstanding Agriculture Education Program Award is given to the top agriculture education program for their teachers’ involvement in professional activities and meeting the educational needs of their students. The award also takes into account community service projects, FFA chapter and student successes, and the positive influence the agriculture program has on the school and community.
The George Clarke Missouri State Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation sponsors the award and presented a plaque and cash award to the recipients at the MVATA banquet.
MVATA is a professional agriculture education teacher association that has more than 469 members serving 324 schools.
