Eldon FFA Members Attend Mizzou Livestock Judging Camp

Attached is a picture of 4 students of the Eldon FFA Chapter from left Joseph Limbach, Cash Prestien, Ryan Kliethermes, and Ryan Looten.

On June 21st members of the Eldon FFA Chapter from left Joseph Limbach, Cash Prestien, Ryan Kliethermes, and Ryan Looten attended the Mizzou Livestock Judging Camp in Columbia, Missouri where they evaluated cattle, sheep, hogs, and goats as well as gave oral reasons to the collegiate livestock judging team. Ryan Kliethermes received the “Most Guts Award” for giving his oral reasons in front of 60 people at the banquet. On June 24th they traveled to Kansas State University for their judging camp.

FFA Top 30 Trip

The Eldon FFA Chapter just returned from their Top 30 trip in Wisconsin. Tour stops included Monsanto, Miller Park (Milwaukee Brewers), Miller-Coors Brewing, Lake Michigan, Ripp’s Dairy, John Deere Company, and ABS Global. Two of the tours were special because they were former Eldon FFA members: Connie McDevitt- Monsanto, Tim Blankenship- Ripp’s Dairy. This educational trip is a reward for the 30 most active members in the chapter. Eldon FFA Members attend the Washington Leadership Conference


 Three Eldon FFA members attended the Washington Leadership Conference  last week.  Each year, FFA members from all over the United States travel to Washington, D.C. to attend the Washington Leadership Conference (WLC). During the five-day event, attendees learned how to become effective leaders by teaching them to know their purpose, value people, take action, and serve others. They left WLC with the knowledge and the confidence to act in ways that help their schools, community, and their country. One of the highlights of their conference was their meeting with their Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer.

Eldon FFA Members Graduate from the Missouri Agribusiness Academy


On June 10th, two Eldon FFA members, Rachel Groves and Joseph Limbach graduated from the Missouri Agribusiness Academy (MAbA). This Academy is a youth leadership program designed for the top 30 high school sophomores to explore career opportunities in agribusiness, government and production agriculture
