Recently, all Area 8 Greenhands headed to Lincoln University for a leadership conference that was conducted by the Missouri FFA State Officers. Through interactive workshops and skits the State FFA Officers encouraged the Greenhands to explore the opportunities provided through FFA. They helped them set goals for their education, careers and FFA experience. Each Greenhand went to a workshop that was conducted by a different state officer. They were challenged to get ‘survivor tools’ together and embark on the challenge of FFA. The FFA is a national youth organization of over 500,000 student members preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business, and technology of agriculture. The FFA strives to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success
