There was no old business. 

New Business:

The Board approved the 2009-2010 Audit and ASBR as presented.
The Board approved payment to Susan Kriegshauser for services rendered.(Mike Kriegshauser abstaining)

The Board accepted the following resignations/retirements:

Wilma Schulte – effective immediately
Rex McCargar – effective end of current school year

Andy Homan – Custodian – South Elementary
Rebekah Schulte – Paraprofessional – High School

Christmas Break

There will be no school from December 23, 2010 through January 3, 2011.  Classes will dismiss early on Wednesday, December 22.  There will be no school on Monday January 3 to allow a Professional Development day for faculty.  Classes will resume as usual on January 4, 2011.

Girls Basketball Rescheduled

Tonight’s girls home basketball game (12/16/10) against Russellville has been rescheduled for Friday, 12/17/10 at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Gym.

Middle School Basketball Rescheduled!

Tonight’s (Dec.16th, 2010) Middle School Boys Basketball games (7th and 8th grade) against Versailles have been rescheduled for January 7th, 2011 at 5:30 at the Eldon Middle School gym.

School Cancelled!

There is no school today (Dec. 16, 2010) due to the icy road conditions

Eldon Speech & Debate Does Well at St. James Tournament

Last weekend the Eldon Speech and Debate team competed against 14 schools at the St. James Tournament. The team took the First Place Sweepstake Trophy.  Many students advanced to semi-finals and finals.

Duet Acting:  Jonathon Smith and Tori Baigi, Micaela Voegeli and Arri Jones advced to semi-finals.  Micaela Voegeli and Arri Jones advanced to finals and placed third overall.

Dramatic Interpretation:  Katie Whitney, Arri Jones and Sumar Foster advanced to semi-finals.  Katie Whitney place third and Arri Jones plced fourth overall.

Humorous Interpretation:  Tori Baigi and Katie Whitney advanced to semi-finals.  Tori Baigi placed fourth and Katie Whitney placed third overall.

Prose:  Payton Atteberry and Morgan Brown advanced to Semi Finals with Payton receiving Third place overall.

Story Telling:  Tori Baigi, Dareth Armstrong and Micaela Voegeli advanced to semi-finals.  Tori Baigi advanced to finals and placed first overall.

Radio:  Katie Whitney and Morgan Brown advanced to semi-fianls.  Katie Whitney placed fourth and Morgan Brown placed second overall.

Extemporaneous Speaking:  Sumer Foster and Mikayla Petchel advanced to semi-finals.  Sumar Foster placed first overall.

Oratory:  Payton Atteberry and Gina Heck advanced to semi-finals.  Payton Atteberry advanced to finals and placed first overall.

Improvisational Duet:  Payton Atteberry and Tim Vanderveld made it to semi-finals, advanced to finals and placed Third overall.

The next Speech and Debate Tournament will be on January 7th at Lexington.
