Lady Mustangs Kelsi Mueller and Katie Kirkweg were named Second Team All District Volleyball. Congratulations ladies!
The Third Annual Mustang Madness will be held on Saturday, November 20th beginning at 4:30 p.m in the High School Gym. This event will feature scrimmage games with the Middle School and High School Basketball Teams. This will be your first chance to catch the 2010-2011 basketball teams in action. The Booster Club will also be sponsoring a chili supper during the event. Tickets will be available at the door.
On Thursday, October 28th, the Eldon High School Student Council will host a Powder Puff Football game. This game will begin at 7:00 p.m. and the teams are Senior girls vs. Junior girls. Admission to the game is $2 and the money raised will used to benefit various charities throughout the year. Booster Club concessions will be available for purchase. There will also be cheerleaders and special half-time routine.
On October 22, 2010 the Eldon FFA Parliamentary Procedure Team took First place in National Competition at Indianapolis, Indiana. The EHS marching Mustangs competed in the annual University of Central Missouri’s Homecoming Parade on Saturday, October 23rd where they earned a first place finish in Class 4. There were 17 bands overall and when ranked by total points, Eldon’s score of 92.5 was 2nd high, missing the top score by 2 points. The bands were judged in 3 areas for their combined total score. In marching the Mustangs placed 3rd overall, in corner execution, 2nd overall and their music score was 1st overall. The Marching Mustangs then performed in the PreGame Show with the UCM Marching Mules, two of whom, Ryan Miller and Caitlin Walker, are EHS band alumni.
The American FFA Degree is the highest award attainable through the national FFA Organization. The Eldon chapter is proud to have 12 members receive this award this year. That is the most members in a chapter to win the degree in the state of Missouri and possibly the most in the nation. The regular meeting of the Board of Education was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

The Board heard the Graduation/Drop Out Report

The 2010 Fall Sports Banquet will be on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Eldon Community Center. The sports recognized will be Football, Softball, Cross Country, Volleyball and Girls Golf. The Eldon Booster club will be hosting the event and providing the meal.

The Eldon High School Marching Band will host their annual “Sounds of the Gridiron” concer on Thursday, October 14th. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the High School Gymnasium.
